About the Artist
Virginia McFadin is the artist behind Divination Glass, a Seattle stained glass studio creating handcrafted work inspired by folklore, symbolism, and the beauty of historic craftsmanship.
Working in the traditional Tiffany copper foil method, Virginia creates original stained glass pieces that draw from religious iconography, tarot, spiritualism, folk art, and her love of the Pacific Northwest.
Her work balances traditional craftsmanship with a sense of humor and the unexpected, from mystical talismans and tarot imagery to Saint Jimothy, her award-winning stained glass tribute to Seattle's beloved folk hero.
Each stained glass piece is designed and made by hand in her Ballard studio.

Every Divination Glass piece begins as an original design and is individually cut, foiled, soldered, and finished by hand in my Ballard studio. I’m drawn to the character of traditional stained glass: the variations in color, texture, and light that make each finished piece one of a kind.
